The portrait of this expert player about to make the all-important tee shot is ever-popular and always well-received. This lovely 8.5"/22.5cm piece has impressive stature. Look out for the great details from the separately-cast club, to the folds in the trousers, to the decorative detail on the shoes and club. Winners of it have told us years later how proud they are to have it as a reminder of the day they won it - as well as for the class of the piece itself. Mounted on a 4.5x3.5"/11.5x9cm base. Runner-Up - Shoes and Clubs SC36 This captivating piece consists of a perfect little pair of bronze golf shoes with two delightful clubs - a putter and a driver. Unique and charming, these pieces are created with a level of detail which is quite remarkable for their size. The shoes and clubs are arranged on a Lakeland green slate base. The shoes are approx 2.75 inches/6.9cms long, and the slate base 5x3"/12.5x7.5cms. Third - SC37 This lovely piece includes a pair of shoes, a golf visor, and two perfect miniaturised golf balls. The beautifully polished visor cuts a modern edge, the tiny shoelaces add real charm to this excellent piece, and the the two tiny dimpled bronze balls show an equally high level of detail. Longest Drive - High Relief Plaque SC15 A free-standing golf plaque of a male golfer, cast in bright bronze, executing a drive. This unique high relief plaque mounted on smooth slate offers a striking and original alternative to a traditional shield. A lovely prize for the Longest Drive winner, it shows an exceptional sculptural ability in the modelling. Approx 6inches x 2.75inches/8.5cms x 6.9cms. Nearest the Pin - Flag & Balls SC44This piece is one of our unique and charming golf inventions consisting of an 8 inch/20.5cm flag with perfectly miniaturised golf balls. The famous flag and balls combination speaks for itself as a Nearest the Pin prize. Perfectly detailed and a scenario that will strike a note with every successful golfer, it is a lovely trophy for this important achievement. These pieces each have superb modelling and casting and are original to our studio. They are significant in scale and weight and come mounted on natural Lakeland slate bases. The hand-sculpted pieces by our in-house artist Ellinor Atkinson are exclusive to Thomas & Peters.
